Sheila S. Blackwell

Vice President, Communications & Public Affairs


Sheila Blackwell leads SRA's internal and external communications and public affairs activities companywide, including developing and implementing corporate communications strategy. Blackwell provides oversight for the corporate brand, development of corporate and marketing materials, the company's presence at industry trade shows and events, internal meetings and events, the external website — SRA.com, industry award nominations, press releases, case studies and media interaction. She oversees the development of internal communications to SRA employees via e-mail, the corporate magazine, and other communication vehicles.

Prior to joining SRA, Blackwell served as Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing for JDA Software, where she led the media relations and employee communications teams. She also has experience at multinational firms such as IBM (Federal Systems) and MCI (Public Policy PR), as well as telecommunication startups such as Teligent and StarBand. Blackwell began her career as a TV news reporter in upstate New York covering local, state and federal government news and events.
