Joint Task Force – Port Opening
In today’s environment of rapid change and limited resources, the military must respond quickly and efficiently to situations around the world. The U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) developed the Joint Task Force – Port Opening (JTF-PO) process to rapidly open and establish ports of debarkation and initial distribution networks to support joint operations. SRA has provided concept and execution support to the JTF-PO since its inception in 2005.
Our initial success supporting the Aerial Port of Debarkation (APOD) concept development led to our involvement in the JTF-PO Seaport of Debarkation (SPOD). SRA’s highly skilled team members conceptualized and implemented the SPOD concept and we support ongoing efforts to streamline the movement of supplies to locations worldwide when and where they’re needed.
