Joseph Sheairs Joins SRA |
Brings Extensive National Air Space Technical Experience to SRA's Aviation Business FAIRFAX, Va., October 11, 2010 - SRA International, Inc. (NYSE: SRX), a leading provider of technology and strategic consulting services and solutions to government organizations and commercial clients, today announced that Joseph Sheairs has joined the company as a vice president within its Aviation Programs business group. Sheairs will be based out of SRA's Linwood, NJ office and will primarily be responsible for managing SRA's engineering and technical programs in support of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) William J. Hughes Technical Center. Sheairs has more than 25 years in program and systems engineering; software development; research and development; and program management experience supporting major air traffic control and U.S. Navy systems. He has planned, designed, developed, integrated, tested and evaluated a wide range of technologies and engineering projects for the FAA's national airspace system (NAS). He also founded a successful technical engineering and support company that won numerous industry awards, including the Air Traffic Control Association's (ATCA) Small Disadvantaged Business of the Year Award. Sheairs most recently served as the Deputy Executive Director for the Next Generation Aviation Research and Technology Park and has held leadership positions with L-3 Communications, RCA Corporation and the U.S. Army.
